2024 Potentate, illustrious Sir, Bruce Monroe

I want to thank each and everyone of you for your support and encouragement to get Tonya and I through the last 9 years up to being elected Potentate of such a great Shrine Temple as Abou Ben Adhem. It’s my goal to have as much fun and excitement as we can possibly handle, and to bring back the things that made this temple what it is and has been for decades. A place where everyone wants to be. We’ve gone through a lot of things that put a dent in a endance and membership, Covid being the major blow but “Hey”! We’re back!! We want all the fun and the fellowship so “let’s ROCK”!

One thing first, I want to congratulate and complement Past Potentate Illustrious Sir Bradley Roam and his Lady Kim for a fabulous year. It’s definitely not easy to try and keep everything running smooth and I thought they did a great job. They were so helpful in every way to get Tonya and I ready for the year 2024. Next, I will share with you all something personal, If it weren’t for the support of my wonderful wife Tonya, I would’ve not been able to do the fun things I’ve done, gone the places I’ve gone, meet the fabulous friends I’ve met over the years, or been able to be a part of this incredible fraternity. So to her I give my love and appreciation for her unending support. We have a fun year planned and even more events can be slipped in where we can.

Gentlemen, we have a great Divan line and as Temple Reps I encourage to use them if you have any questions or issues that need attention. Remember, try to be positive and have fun, nothing good ever comes out of being negative. Speaking of Divan Line, it is my pleasure and honor to introduce your new Outer Guard Kris Booth and his lovely Lady Heather. Those two have been very involved in the Temple will be shining stars in the future.

With that, Tonya and I love you all and look forward to the upcoming year at ABA!
